Bookkeeping & Reconciliation Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for corporate and personal clients. Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related tasks. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records. Tax & Year-End Support Assist with the preparation of T1 personal and T2 corporate tax returns. Support the preparation of T3 trust and T5013 partnership returns as required. Assist with year-end working papers and financial statement preparation. Gather and organize supporting documents for tax filings and year-end engagements. Perform basic tax and accounting research under the guidance of senior staff. Client Service Communicate with clients to obtain accounting and tax information. Respond to routine client questions and follow up on outstanding documents. Assist clients with QuickBooks Online and Xero-related questions and basic troubleshooting. Maintain professional and timely communication with clients and team members. Audit & Review Support Assist senior accountants with review engagements, tax audits, and CRA requests. Prepare schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation as required. Technology & Process Improvement Use accounting and tax software to improve accuracy and efficiency. Assist with the implementation of automation and AI-enabled accounting workflows. Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and reduce repetitive manual work.
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is an asset. Working knowledge of Canadian accounting and taxation principles. Experience with QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero is an asset. Familiarity with TaxCycle, CaseWare, or CaseView is an asset. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. CPA PEP enrollment or a willingness to pursue the CPA designation is an asset. Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
