Perform full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, conducting background checks, resume screening, phone screens, set up interviews, exit interviews Onboard new employees
– provide orientation training and coordinate with department managers on completing department and role-specific training.
Develop metrics and provide reporting and analysis as required (i.e., headcount, turnover, demographics;
by consolidating data from different platforms into meaningful dashboards and presentations;
provide analysis to support new initiatives and ongoing projects) Coordinate all WSIB claims and support early and safe return to work Ensure timely completion of accident/injury to WSIB and maintain all claim files Coordinate any health and safety requirements and participate within the JHSC to ensure consistency Ensure all rules and regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are adhered to and carried out by the organization as needed Create, implement and train on employee policies, health and safety manuals and guidelines and other HR-related policies Provide payroll records and updates to the Accounting department in a timely manner Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs Administer salary changes and increases Update employee data in the internal system;
generate HR reports and analysis for upper management.
Communicate organizational information and updates to employees at all levels through proper communication channels, e.g.
email memorandum and notices.
Promote employee recognition and retention by assisting in planning annual staff events and recognition programs Respond to employee inquiries, direct inquiries to appropriate parties, and assist with problem resolution and provision of the required information Prepare and generate documentation for audit purposes Plan and lead HR initiatives and projects Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum three years experience in HR functions Knowledge of employment laws, regulations and policies and occupational health and safety legislation and procedures.
Post-secondary education in HR, preferably CHRP certified Fluency in English;
Mandarin an asset Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision Proficient in using standard functions in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Exceptional judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information A quick thinker who brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done Strong organizational and administrative skills;
attention to detail is a critical part of this role.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Professional and friendly communications with potential candidates, co-workers, and clients
