At minimum, completion of a post secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration or recognized equivalent
General knowledge of office practices, process and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Experience working in a health care environment an asset
Knowledge of a second language an asset
Six (6) months to 1 year experience using computer applications or health information system required, i.e., EPR, MS outlook, PHS
Must be able to read and understand sort notes, brief forms and/or instructions
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and/or divide
Knowledge of another language, an asset
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
Exercise initiative and good judgement with ability to multi-task
Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
