To cut and fillet fish and halibut. To follow the Canadian health and food safety regulations when handling all seafood out of container. To follow protocols for Fillet Room and warehouse Cleanliness by complying with the cleaning checklist on everyday basis. Must make a daily count of supplies i.e. boxes, bags, cleaning, sanitizing, & cutting blade. To weigh halibut in totes. To assist with picking orders when days are slow. To assist in the cleaning the warehouse.
Must have 3 years of experience in fish cutting/ filleting. Must be a good communicator Must be able to work in a fast pace environment Must be able to handle time effective orders Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a constant basis Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a constant basis Must be organized and a good team player. Must be able to read, write and speak English, bi-lingual in Chinese is an asset Must be able to work on Saturdays Must be willing to stay longer on days to complete orders when needed Must upkeep the Food Safety Handler’s certification (expires every 5 years).
