Manage all daily accounting and bookkeeping functions for the group of companies and subsidiaries using accounting software such as QuickBooks and ERP systems Prepare consolidated financial statements and perform intercompany reconciliations Handle accounts payable and receivable ensuring accuracy and timely processing Monitor inventory accounting, cost tracking, and valuation in collaboration with production and warehouse teams Analyze factory overhead costs and assist in cost accounting and pricing strategies Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations and subsidiaries Coordinate and support annual external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards, tax filings, and statutory requirements Collaborate with the payroll team to validate payroll processing for all employees across subsidiaries Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity Provide timely and insightful financial reports and analysis to senior management to support business decisions Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and other external parties as needed Support system improvements and upgrades related to QuickBooks, ERP systems and other financial software Provide financial training and support to subsidiary accounting teams when required
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is a must 5 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and factory environments Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills Solid knowledge of Canadian accounting principles Experience handling accounting across multiple subsidiaries and complex organizational structures Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Fluency in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are a strong asset
