Assist patients or residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding. Provide basic health services such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting changes to nurses or supervisors. Support emotional well-being by offering companionship, listening, and engaging patients in meaningful activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping, sanitizing equipment, and organizing patient areas. Follow care plans and organizational policies to ensure high-quality, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care.
Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent training. Current CPR and First Aid certification (may be required by employer). Ability to lift, transfer, and provide physical assistance to patients/residents. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Compassionate, patient, and reliable with the ability to work in a fast-paced care environment.
